The Elixir team was recently in Las Vegas, USA from 14 to 19 October, to attend the IBM Information On Demand (IOD) 2007 Conference.

The IBM IOD 2007 is an annual IBM premier event where IBM customers and partners can get the latest industry trends and in-depth information on a wide variety of Information Management Technical topics.

Ready for IBM DB2, Elixir was invited to participate in the EXPO Solution Center where IBM’s partners were to demonstrate their cutting edge solutions to IBM customers.

One of Elixir’s highpoint was walking away with the Crowd Pleaser award for the Demo ‘Til You Drop segment. Elixir CEO presented his 10 minute version of the product demonstration, mixed with snippets of the team’s after hour activity in Vegas. Ultimately, it was the “lethal” combination of work and leisure that earned Elixir the award.

“Winning the award was a pleasant surprise, and I attributed our win to the judges’ friendly interjection of interesting and animated remarks!  Of course, our partner’s photograph with “aesthetic arts display” was certainly the icing on the cake that left an indelible impression with the crowd,” said Elixir’s CEO, Lau Shih Hor.
