Elixir Business Intelligence for NetBeans, the Free and Easy way |

Elixir Technology announces today that it is launching the world’s first full-featured Business Intelligence Plugin for NetBeans at both CommunityOne and JavaOne 2008. As a NetBeans Strategic Partner, Elixir will make available the Elixir Repertoire Plugin for NetBeans for free, as in free beer, for development use by the NetBeans developer community. For production use, Elixir offers affordable licensing scheme ranging from one-time fee for unlimited runtime distribution to server processor based licensing for unlimited user connections.
With this new Plugin, NetBeans users will have ready access within the NetBeans IDE to a full range of Business Intelligence functionalities such as Dashboard, Report, Data ETL and Scheduling to incorporate within their applications. Users will be able to design and customize dashboards with interactive navigational between data, cube, report, image, and chart views, specify complex data extraction, aggregation, and transformation logic with a visual data designer, create reports of any complexity with minimum or no coding, and define automation jobs with drag-and-drop support. With lightweight, REST-based web services as its underlying protocol, these BI features can be easily incorporated into any application using programming languages such as Java, JavaFX, Ruby, AJAX, Groovy, etc, using a simple set of GET, POST, PUT, DELETE operations over HTTP or HTTPS.

Elixir Repertoire Plugin for NetBeans will be demonstrated at CommunityOne and JavaOne 2008, and will be generally available through the NetBeans Plugin Portal and on Elixir’s NetBeans page. CDs of the free software will be given out to every participant of CommunityOne 2008 and at Elixir’s JavaOne pavilion booth at SOA Village.
