Elixir Technology Launches 4.0 Release of Elixir ReportTM with Performance Gain, Enhanced PDF and New Report Output Formats, New Scripting and Report Elements, and Mobile Reporting.
Elixir Report 4.0 release marks a major milestone for a new generation of the Unified Reporting Platform for Java, XML, and Mobile information delivery. Extending from conventional "wired" reporting, this version introduces a single reporting environment for both wired and wireless reporting and information delivery, built on leading industry standards such as Java, XML, XHTML, and J2ME/MIDP.
With such unified approach, corporate information can be made available truly any where, any time, and any device supporting such open standards.
Some highlights of the new features include:
- Improved Performance and Extensibility with new XML-based Report Generation Engine.
- New Report Markup LanguageTM or RMLTM as native report format supporting multiple RML transformation phases for optimizing performance.
- Improved Data Access with New Connection Reuse for JDBC Data Source.
- Enhanced PDF support with bookmark, TTF font embedding, PDF encryption with access control over viewing, editing, printing, and copying of contents.
- New report output formats including XLS, TXT, XHTMLAbsolutewithCSS2, XHTML Mobile.
- New Javascript Scripting Engine for enhanced rendering behaviour control of various report components.
- New report components such as Page Break with scripting control, "Justify" text alignment, sections with "Table of Content".
