Upgrading to Elixir Repertoire Server 6.x

1. Copy the following to a temporary folder (E.g. C:\temp).
   • report server config file (located at $ERS_HOME/config)
   • modified start server scripts (if any, located at $ERS_HOME/bin)
   • third party library files (such as JDBC driver)
     
     
2. Unzip or unpack the archive (e.g. Repertoire-Server.zip) to the desired directory.
   Please backup the previous version in a temporary directory.
   
   
3. Copy the files from the Step 1 to replace / place in the respectively directory of $ERS_HOME (new version).
   
   
4. Deploy a new license key if licensing has been change or expired (Optional)
   
   
5. Start Elixir Report Server and ensure that it is running with no issue
   
   
6. Run sample client demo application of Elixir Report Server to render a test report.
   Sample client demo application is available at $ERS_HOME/clients/demo/JavaClientDemo/rundemo.bat
   
   

$ERS_HOME refers to the directory where the report server is installed to.

If the above is successful, you are done with the upgrade.
